Wow, it has been more than 6 years since I posted my first blog. This is incredible. In this six years, my interests have changed, my life saw several changes, but my blog has remained with me. Several services came and went but blogger remained. This is fun to rollback to past and go through the changes. At several occasions, I stopped writing blog and later continued. I hope this cycle will go on as long as Google does not hack this service.

Life has changed a lot in last one year. Although my life saw lots of ups and downs, had an incredibly unexpected roller coaster ride in past one year. Losses were incredible, gains were incredible and changes were incredible. I never imagined I would go through such a ride. It was god's wish, I had limited options and just two hands. After a landslide things are calm but the disaster always hunts. Now I understand the value of time. I am a thinker and go through what ifs ....and realize all were hypothetical.. This is what my destiny is. When I was walking I wanted to run, when I was running I wanted to fly, and when I was flying I wanted to go beyond and there came a barrier which brought me directly to ground. Only few people can cross those barriers and those are called Gods thereafter... I realize I am not God.

7 Months Later . . .

I am writing again. My previous post was almost at the bottom of global economic crisis. Time has changed a lot in past seven months. The recovery has already started and the world will recover faster than any other recessions. The economic worries around the world did not leave me untouched.

I read news and blogs from Nepal everyday. I have been writing for the prosperous Nepal for several years but I never did more than that. The recent developments in Nepal makes me worry just like you. We elected our leader to represent us, the people of Nepal, but they not only failed not only to make our life better but also dragged down each and every time. I hope some day we will have a leader whose priority is to upgrade the livelihood of all Nepalis. I am just waiting for that day to come.

Finally, Dashain is here. I wish you all a very Happy Dashain. May this Dashain make you happier, stronger and more prosperous than ever before.

बिश्व को आर्थिक मन्दि नेपालको लागी बरदान बन्न सक्छ

बिश्व ब्यापी रुपमा फैलिएको आर्थिक प्रलय ले नेपाल लाइ पानी असर पार्ने त निश्चित नै छ . तर हामीले अली बिचार गरेर सोचने हो भने र सोही अनुसार काम गर्ने हो भने यो मन्दि नेपाल का लागी बरदान नै बन्न सक्छ जस्तो मलाई लाग्छ.

आर्थिक मन्दि ले नेपाल ले के प्राप्त गर्छ ?
(१) सस्तो समान
बिस्व बाजार मा तेलको मूल्य घटे पछि बिभिन्न सामान को मूल्य घटने क्रम जारी छ. मूल त स्टील , यातायात आदिको मूल्य ब्यापक घटेको छ. यही मौकामा नेपालले निजी लगानी लाइ प्रेरित गरेर अनी सरकारी लगानी मा नया संरचना बनाउने र माओबादी ले ध्वस्त पारेका संरचना हरुको पुनर्निर्माण गर्ने काम गर्न सक्छ.

(२) कम खर्च गर्न चाहने "भुक्का" टूरिस्ट
पश्चिमी देस लाइ आर्थिक मन्दि ले गाँजी सकेको छ. खरबौँ डलर को पर्यटन ब्यवसाय धरासायी बन्दै छ. तर, नेपाल ले राम्रो बिग्यापन गर्न सके मौका मा चौका हन्ना सक्छ. ऊसै पनि नेपाल सस्तो गंतब्य हो. प्रकिर्तिक सुन्दरता त छँदै छ, नेपाली को घैटो मा घाम लगेर केही बेर शांत बसिदिने हो भने धेरै पर्यटक तन्ना सक्छ.

(३) दक्ष कामदार
रहर वा बाध्यता ले गर्दा बिदेस मा काम गर्न गयेका नेपाली हरुको पनि रोजगार खोसिदै छ अनी नतीजा मा नेपाल ले बिदेस मा तालीम प्राप्त कामदार हरु पाउने छ. एउटा योजना हुने हो भने त्यस्ता कामदार हरु ले नेपाल फर्केर "टायर बाल्नु" को सातो बिदेश मा जस्तै खटियेर काम गर्न सकछन. जून समग्र नेपाल को लागी उत्पादक हुना सक्छ.

(४) "अन्तिम Remittance "
हो बिदेश बाट फर्किने हरुले पैसा बोकेर आउन्छन. त्यों पैसा ले की घर जग्गा किन्छन, की ब्यापार गर्छन, की बैंक मा राखेर बस्छन. यदि त्यसरी औने पैसा लाइ उद्योग, यातायात , बिद्धुत, संचार, सिक्ष्या, स्वास्थ्य आदि मा परिचालन गर्ने बातावरण सिर्जना गर्ने हो भने देस ले पनि फर्किने ले पानी फाईदा लिन सक्छन.

के गर्ने त ?
(१) "आन्दोलन बंद"
हो कम्ति मा आउने केहि बर्स को लागी सबै खाले आन्दोलन बंद (end) गर्ने. प्रयेक राजनितिक पार्टी का नेता हरुलाई सम्झाउने अनी तिनका कार्यकर्ता लाइ सम्झाउना लगाउने.

(२) कानून को पालना कानून लाइ सबै भन्दा ठुलो मान्ने. अदालत ली पारदर्शी अनी सक्तिशाली बनाउने .

(३) सर्सफाई सर्सफाई अनी स्वस्थ्य मा ध्यान दिने .

(४) जनसँख्या नियंत्रण - माने "फॅमिली प्लानिंग" :)

(५) बिग्यांपना
बिदेश मा नेपाल राम्रो छ भनेर बिग्यापन गर्ने. सके सम्मा नाराम्रा ख़बर हरु लाइ कम महत्वा दिने. राम्रा खबरहरु लाइ फैलाउने. बिदेसी पत्रकार, ब्यापारी आदि ली बोलौने. सभा सम्मलेन आदि गर्ने. अनि बिदेस जाने प्रयेक नेपालीलाई ५ मिनेट देसको इज्जत जोगाएर बिदेस मा काम/पढ़ाई गर्न orientation दिने ;)

यहाँ सम्म पढ़ी दिनु भएको मा धन्यबाद :), तर साथी यो नेपाल हो. जे लेखे पनि , जे बोले पनि यहाँ पाखुरी का बल को अगाडी अरुको कही लाग्दैन. बन्दूक को नाल का अगाडी बसेर परिवार नियोजन को ढाल को कुरा गरेर कही हुन्न. जब सम्म हामीले 'बिकास' लाइ छाती मा राखेर नेता छन्दैनौ (नेता पनि हामी जस्तै एउटा अल्ली टाठो-बाठो मान्छे हो ) , तबसम्म यो देस लुटेरा हरुको पन्जाबाट बहिरा निस्किन्न .

I am back to blogging after several months. The Year 2008 remained partly stressful, partly exciting and mostly moving for me. I moved from Virginia to Texas as you may know. I had a uncertain first half of the year so, I could not even dare to post somethig on my blog.

A lot of prominet bloggers have emerged in the recent years with the feeling of professionalim in blogging. I am watching all those bloggers. Maily the bloggers who are journalists by profession are doing well. It's really cool to know for somebody like me who is following the trend of internet since the beginning of this century.

Well, it's what I had to say before posting this new blog about my NBA match "watching" experience. Yesterday evening, I got chance to watch a match between Rockets and Mavericks. I always wanted to watch a professional basketball and it came to reality after a long time. The match was exciting. I had moral and geographical obligation to be 'fan' of Rockets. Watching the match between the players those we see on telvision only was cool. I took some pictures at the match using my cell phone but the quality is under par. Still I have posted a picture for your etertainment :) . Houston Rockets won the match, it was another good news.

Farewell to Bill Gates

Today Bill Gates, once the worlds richest man and founder of Microsoft, ended his official journey from Microsfot which he started in 1975(not sure about exact date). I have been using windows operating system for almost a decade. The personality of Bill Gates has always been inspirational for me. I always watch the speech he gave to Harvard graduation when I need energy. Today he is leaving his legacy for his next career as philanthropist. I wish Mr. Gates a wonderful family, and social life ahead. A tribute of million thanks goes to he leader of our generation who contributed to change our thinking.

नेपालमा एउटै जातवर्गको मात्रै बसोबास भएको क्षेत्रै छैन भने हुन्छ । दुई-चार-पाँच गाउँ कुनै वर्गविशेषको बाहुल्य भए पनि त्यहाँ पनि दुई-चार वर्गविशेष, अल्पसंख्यक हुने जातवर्ग छन् । देशभरि त्यस्ता विशेष वर्ग उदाहरणका लागि दलितको संख्या ठूलै भए पनि त्यो देशभरि छरिएको छ । मधेसको तल्लो वर्ग र दलित भनिएकाको स्वरूपबाट हिजो र आजको परिस्थिति फरक छ । पहाडी र मधेसी दलितको अवस्थामा आकाश-जमिन फरक छ । त्यसैले दलितको समस्यामात्र भनेर पुग्दैन । अत्यधिक बहुमत भनिएको लिम्बू क्षेत्र, खम्बू क्षेत्र, मगरातमा पनि गोठाला र हली बाहुन-क्षत्री पनि छन् । ती क्षेत्रका ती अल्पसंख्यकको त्यो संघमा के हैसियत हुने ? अनि क्षत्री बहुसंख्यक क्षेत्रका दलित र जनजाति भनिएको जातथरको के अवस्था हुने ?
एकै क्षेत्रमा बसेका एकै भाषी र जात भए शिक्षादीक्षा मातृभाषामै होला -स्वीजरल्यान्डजस्तो), तर काठमाडौं वरिपरि र राजमार्गमाथि बसेका क्षत्री-बाहुन र तामाङ एकै कुवाको पानी खानेलाई कसरी मातृभाषामा विद्यालय पठाउने ? नेपालमा संघीय शासन प्रणालीको मोडेल स्वीजरल्यान्डको जस्तो हुनुपर्छ भन्नेले पनि बुझ्नुपर्छ । क्षेत्रको अविकसितालाई वर्गभित्रको चलाख र राजनीतिक रूपले उपयोगिता लिनसक्नेहरूले आफूलाई मौका छोप्न सजिलो उपाय जातीय संघीयताको चर्को आवाज उठाउने गरेको सवाल उठ्न सक्छ । नियतवश होस् वा अज्ञानताले, केही क्षेत्र-जातवर्ग साँच्चै धेरै पछि परेका छन् । त्यो सत्य हो, त्यो अवस्थाबाट मुक्त हुन खोजिएको समाधानले भने तत्तत् वर्गको अगुवाको हित हुनेछ, साँच्चैको आवश्यक वर्गमा त्यो सुविधा नपुग्न सक्छ । नेवार स्वायत्तता प्रदेश चाहनेलाई सोधौं, उपत्यकाको पुरानो नेवार सहरभन्दा बाहिरका काँठमा बस्नेले नाइजेरियामा जस्तै अलग राज्य खोजे के होला ?
-अहिले त चुरेभावरमात्र त्यस्तो उदाहरण छ) अनि उपत्यकाका काँठभन्दा बाहिरी भाग ललितपुर, भक्तपुर, काभ्रे, सिन्धुपाल्चोक, नुवाकोट, रसुवा र धादिङका तामाङले आफ्नै राज्य खोजेर त्यसभित्रका क्षत्री-बाहुन हेपिएको अवस्था कस्तो होला ?
पचहत्तरै जिल्लाका सदरमुकाममा व्यापार गर्न बसेका ललितपुर, भक्तपुर, काठमाडौं र साङ्गानाला धुलिखेलका नेवारका घरबाट अल्पसंख्यकको मारमा परेर लुटिए भने वा लखेटिए भने देशको हालत के होला ? भूमिपुत्र र आदिवासीले पहिलो पुस्ता नेपालीको दबदबा नव्यहोर्ने निर्णय नेपालका तराईमा गरेको दिन कस्तो होला ? जातीयता र धर्मका भरमा देशले कष्ट भोग्नुपरे देशका साँच्चै अल्पसंख्यक जाति र धार्मिक समूह -क्रिस्चियन/मुसलमान) को हालत के होला ? नेपालको सन्दर्भमा के बुझ्न जरुरी छ भने यो देशमा अत्यधिक बहुमत भन्ने छैन । क्षत्री र ठकुरी -ठकुरी केही समय अघिसम्म क्षत्री थिए, पछि आफूलाई ठूलो मान्छे बनाउने सन्दर्भमा अलग भए) मिलाए पनि ३० प्रतिशतभन्दा बढी हुँदैन, बाँकी ७० प्रतिशत पनि एउटै जातवर्ग होइन, अरू थरीथरीका साना प्रतिशतका जातवर्ग आदिवासी पर्छन् ।
हिन्दुस्थानमा बेलायतले राज्य गर्दा भन्ने गरिएको सेडियुल काष्ट -दलित जनजाति) भन्ने चलनचल्ती जस्ताको तस्तै नेपाल भित्र्याएर नेपालमा आफूलाई दलित -अर्थात् मान्छेभन्दा तल) भन्नै रुचाउँछन् । अब कति पुस्तासम्म आफ्नो सन्तानलाई त्यस्तै बनाइराख्ने हो र त्यो सन्तानले आफ्नो जातवर्गको गर्व गर्ने दिन कहिले आउने हो ? नेपालमा थर कामकै सिलसिलामै भएका छन् । फलामको काम गर्ने नकर्मी, काठको काम गर्ने सिकर्मी, घरको काम गर्ने डकर्मी, तामाको काम गर्ने ताम्राकार, रंगरोगनको काम गर्ने चित्रकार, तेलको काम गर्ने मानन्धर, मूर्तिको काम गर्ने शिल्पकार, फूलको काम गर्ने मालाकार, ठूला मान्छे भएका श्रेष्ठ राजभण्डारी, मन्त्री भएका अमात्य प्रधान, भक्तपुरमा भए खाँजु, व्याँजु, धौवडेल आदि-इत्यादि सबै पेसासँग सम्बन्धित छ । त्यहाँ कहाँ जात र धर्म
छ ? मल्ल राजाको पालादेखि पाटन, काठमाडौंमा रहेभएका गिरी, पुरी, भारती र मुसलमानलाई नेवार राज्यले अलग मान्दैन, अनि पृथ्वीनारायण शाहका फौजले कीर्तिपुरमा काटेका नाककानको औषधी गर्ने इसाई धर्मावलम्बीसमेत आजका नेपालका अभिन्न अंग हुन्, तिनलाई धर्म र जातीयताको आधारमा नछुट्याइ संघीय शासन प्रणालीमै राष्ट्रियताको खोजी गर्न सकिन्छ कि नेताहरूले ध्यान दिनुपर्ने विषय यो पनि हो ।
नेपालले सर अक्टर लोनी -बेलायती साम्राज्य प्रतिनिधि) सँग सम्झौता गर्दा र चिनियाँ फौजले नेपालसँग नुवाकोट, रसुवाको बेत्रावतीमा सम्झौता गर्दा घुँडा टेकेरै गरेको हो । त्यसपछि नेपाली जनतासामु राजा वीरेन्द्रले विदेशीभन्दा नेपाली जनतासामु घुँडा टेक्ने निर्णय गरेको उदाहरण नेपालीले सगौरव लिएका छन् । आजका नेपाली नेता -पार्टी) ले पनि कुनै सम्झौता गर्दा त्यसैलाई ध्यानमा राखे अरू धेरै दुःख बिर्सन नेपालीलाई सजिलो पर्ने थियो भन्ने नेताहरूलाई कसरी सम्झाउने ? संघीय शासन प्रणालीलाई अन्यथा सोच्नुपर्ने होइन, तर आलोकाँचो निर्णय र आज निर्णय गरेर पछि पछुताउनुपर्ने काम नेताहरूले नगरुन् । विश्वलाई पाठ सिकाउन सक्छु भन्ने घमण्ड राख्ने नेपाली नेतृत्व कसैको उपहासको पात्र नबनुन्, मेरो चिन्ता त्यतिमात्र हो । आखिर कुनै नेपाली नेताको इज्जत गए नेपालकै इज्जत जाने हो ।
काठमाडौंको कुरा गर्ने हो भने पृथ्वीनारायण शाहसँग काठमाडौं जितेर खान्की पाएका थापा, बस्नेत, पाण्डेहरू सहर छोडेर बाहिर गइसकेका छन् । भक्तपुरको बोडे नकदेश वरपर भक्तपुरका नेवारी राजाले दिएका पदवी थापा, श्रेष्ठहरूका गाउँका गाउँ ज्युँका त्युँ छन्, अर्थात् श्रेष्ठ थर पनि पदवीमात्र हो, नेवार समुदायमा -ज्या या फु पिं) अर्थात् काम गर्नेहरू आजको सन्दर्भमा ज्यापु हुन्, अरूहरू कामको सिलसिलामा पछि थर बनेका हुन् । कोइराला फाँटकाहरू कोइराला हुन्, सिंजाका पतिहरू सिँजापति हुन्, स्याङजाकाहरू स्याङजाली हुन्, पाल्पाका पाल्पाली हुन्, पोखराका पोखरेली हुन् र सबैभन्दा रमाइलो त समाजका विशिष्टहरू विष्ट हुन्, विष्ट बाहुन पनि छन्, भोटिया पनि छन्, क्षत्री पनि छन्, मगर पनि छन् । बाहुनले आफूलाई मनपरेकी श्रीमती विवाह गर्दा सिर्जना गरेको थर र खड्काबाट कुँवर अनि कुँवरबाट राणा बनेकाहरूबाट जंगबहादुरले कुँवर राणा लेखेको उदाहरण हुँदाहुँदै आफूलाई ठकुरी दर्जामा राखेको पनि नेपाली समाजको विशिष्ट स्वरूप हो । आमा चिनाउँदा सानो हुने र बाबु चिनाउँदा ठूलो हुने नेपाली राणाहरूको थर र वर्ग सन्तानभित्रै विभाजनले पनि समाजलाई असर गरेको छ । काठमाडौं बसेका अन्य जात र थरले नेपाली बाहुन संस्कृतिमा चलेको विवाह, व्रतबन्ध, मरण दाहसंस्कारको पछि लाग्दा ठूलो हुने कुरा भएको छ । मगरहरूले आफूलाई नेपालको शाही खानदानका हामी नातागोता र आफन्त हौं भन्ने भन्दा आफूलाई ठकुरी चिनाउने नक्कली काम गर्दा ठूलो मान्छे बन्ने प्रवृत्ति आजको एकीकृत नेपाल बनाउने सन्दर्भमा अभिशाप सिद्ध भएको छ भन्ने राजनीतिक वृत्तले बुझ्नुपर्छ ।
पृथ्वीनारायण शाहकी आमा पनि मगर, मामली पनि मगर हो भन्ने इतिहासले सावित गर्दागर्दै आफूलाई अलग देखाउने शाही खानदानले देशका जातवर्गसँग भन्दा अन्यसँग जातवर्ग चिनाउँदा एकीकृत समाज बन्न गाह्रो परेको छ । बाह्रौं-तेह्रौं शताब्दीमा नेपालका शासकलाई हिन्दुस्थानका मुसलमान शासकले दिएको पदवी शाह, शाही, बम, मान दिएका हुन् भन्ने प्रमाणीकरण भइसकेको छ । त्यस हिसाबले मगरले हामी राजखानदानी हौं भने राष्ट्रियतामा बल पुग्ने नेताहरूले कहिले कसरी बुझ्ने ? राजखानदानमा शाहमा देव थपेर शाहदेव बनाएपछि अरूले हिन्दू अतिवाद भने भन्दा के फरक पर्‍यो ?
संघीय राज्यप्रणालीको राम्रो प्रणाली "अनेकतामा एकता", "स्थानीय स्वायत्तता" को सिद्धान्तलाई अनेकतामा बाँचेको सुन्दर नेपालका केही अँध्यारा- उज्याला पक्ष हेर्ने जमर्कोमात्र गरेको हुँ । यो नेपाल राज्यले अपनाउन खोजिरहेको प्रणालीसँग नहेरी नहुने पक्ष उजागर गर्न खोजिएको हो । यहाँ विशेषज्ञ विद्वानको आवश्यकता छ र संविधानसभा निर्वाचनपछि पनि समाजले माथि उल्लिखित एवं अन्य अनगिन्ती सवालमा बहस गर्न पाउनुपर्छ । यसले समय लिनसक्छ, जसलाई दल र दलका नेताले स्वीकार्नुपर्छ । अन्यथा रक्तपात अवश्यम्भावी छ ।
शासन प्रणाली इमानदार नहुँदा, भनाइ र गराइ फरक हुँदा, दिनेमा भन्दा लिनेमात्रमा ध्यान हुँदा र बल प्रयोग गर्दा देशवासीले हेपिएको, ठगिएको, इज्जत नपाएको एकमुष्ट प्यानडोराको बाकस हो- आजको नेपाल । यही नीति दोहोरिने शंकामा हरेक क्षेत्रका क्रान्तिकारीहरू अविश्वास गरेर सशंकित छन् एकातिर भने समझदारी, समन्वय र क्षमाशीलताविना देश नचल्ने रहेछ र यस्तो क्षमाशीलताको उदाहरण आजको दक्षिण अपिmकालाई हेरे पुग्छ । लामो समय घृणा, दमन र रक्तपातपूर्ण विद्रोहको बाबजुद गोरा-काला अँगालो हालेर एकैथलोमा बस्न सक्छन् भन्ने संघीय शासन प्रणालीको उदाहरण अन्त कहाँ देख्न पाइन्छ ?

Demise of my Grandfather !

It is one of the sadest days in my life. When I checked my email after finishing my job, I saw a news that I never wanted to see. It was demise of my maternal Grandfather. My paternal grandpa passed away before my birth and grandma passed away when I was in class 6 or 7. I was closer to my dfather till I was in Nepal. They loved me a lot.

I and Suraj Dai talked to him in Last Dashain(a month) on phone. I could not go to Nepal in last December due to some cirumstances although I wanted to seem him, talk to him. He was not only a senior member of our extended family network but also a good teacher of us.

It is all about time, all about life. May my grandfather's soul rest in peace. I have shared a picture to recall good memories.

ेमैले यस ब्लगमा लेख्न थालेको पनि दुई वर्ष पुगिसकेछ । समय दौडिरहेको जस्तो लाग्छ मलाइ त । मेरो ब्लगमा यहाँहरुले मेरो ब्यक्तिगत जीवनका अलावा नेपालको समसामयिक विषयमा मेरो लेखाइहरु पढ्दै आउनुभएको छ । यहाँहरुको तीतो अथवा मिठो आलोचनाले मलाई सँधै लेख्न प्रेरित गरेको छ । यहाँको सुझाव र सहयोगको म सँधै आभारि रहने छु ।

ब्लगमा लेख्न थालेको दुई वर्ष पुगेको अवशर पारेर मैले नयाँ स्तम्भ शुरु गरेको छु मैले चाहे जस्तो हुने भए... यस स्तम्भमा मैले नयाँ नेपालको परिकल्पना गर्नेछु । मेरो उदेश्य ब्यवहारिक हिसाबले नेपालको विकासका अवधारणा हरु प्रस्तुत गर्नु हो । यदि मैले प्रस्तुत गरेका योजनाहरु यथार्थमा ढाल्न सकिन्न जस्तो लाग्छ भने कमेन्टमा लेख्नु होला ।
यहाँहरुलाई यो स्तम्भ मन परे आउनुहोस तपाँइ पनि आफ्नो धारणा प्रतुत गर्नुहोस यहि ब्लगमा अथवा तपाँइको आफ्नो ब्लगमा।

भाग १
कर्णाली विश्व विद्यालयको स्थापना
मेरो मास्टस्रको थेसिसको लागि अमेरिकी जल सेनाका एक उच्च ओहोदाका डाक्टरसंग काम गर्ने अवशर पाएको छु । म नेपालबाट आएको भन्ने थाहा पाएपछि उनले नेपालको बारेमा बेलाबखत सोधखोद गरिरहन्छन । सगरमाथाका बारेमा सोध्छन यतिका बारेमा सोध्छन राजा विरेन्द्रको हत्याकाण्ड आदि आदि । उनी जस्तै धेरै अमेरीकीलाइ नेपालको बारेमा धेरै चासो रहेको पाएको छु मैले । प्रायले सुरक्षा राम्रो भैदेको भए नेपाल जान मन भएको बताउँछन मलाइ मनमनै खुसि लाग्छ अनि अहिलेको देशको अवस्था देखेर दुख पनि लाग्छ ।

आज युनिभसर्िटिको एउटा काम गर्दै थिएँ मनमा एउटा योजना आयो कर्णाली विश्वविद्यालयको । नेपालको कर्णालीमा पनि एउटा रिस्रच युनिभसर्िटी खोल्न सके कस्तो रमाईलो हुन्थ्यो होला। मुगु जिल्लाको कुनै उपत्यकामा एउटा विशाल विश्वविद्यालयको कल्पना गनुहोस त । अरु विश्वविद्यालय भन्दा यो कसरी फरक हुनेछभने यसले मुलतः पहाडि र हिमाली क्षेत्रमा आधारित अनुसंधान गर्नेछ । संसारकै अति सुन्दर ठाउँमा रहने हुनाले देश विदेशका विद्यर्थीहरुको लागि यो एउटा आकस्रक केन्द्र बन्न सक्छ । पुर्णत अंग्रजी माध्ययममा संचालन हुने यस विश्वविद्यालय संसारका अति उत्तम विश्वविद्यालयहरु संगको संजालमा बस्ने छ । कर्णाली अन्चलका विद्याथीहरुलाई छुट्याइने १० प्रतिसत आरक्षण बाहेकका बाँकि सबै विश्वभरिका विद्यार्थी अनुसन्धानकर्ताहरु आदिबाट छानिएकाहरु हुने छन् ।

यो विश्वविद्यालय निर्माण गर्न ठूलो रकमको आवश्यक्ता पर्छ तर विभिन्न देशका धनाढ्य ब्यापारीहरु उद्योगहरु बाट चन्दा उठाएर निर्माण गरिनेछ जसले जे निर्माण गरिदिन्छ उसैको इच्छाअनुसार सो संरचनाको नामाकरण गरिनेछ । हुन सक्छ हुलासचन्द्र इन्जिनियरिङ्ग भवन सन सुचना केन्द्र टाटा अटोमोटिभ रिसर्च ल्याव शेर्पा माउन्टनियरिङ्ग स्कुल अफ रिस्रच आदि आदि । मलाइ पुरा विश्वास छ नेपाल भित्र र बहिरका नेपालीहरुको लगानी अरु भन्दा बढि हुनेछ ।

समग्रमा मुगुमा एउटा युनिभसर्िटि टाउनको स्थापना हुनेछ । विश्वविद्यालय संगसंगै गमगढी को विमानस्थललाइ अन्तराटि्रय स्तरको कम्तिमा काठमाण्डौं र नयाँ दिल्ली जोड्न सक्ने बनाउने काम नेपाल सरकारले गर्ने छ । साथै गमगढि देखी विश्वविद्यालय सम्मको हाइवे बनाउने काम पनि नेपाल सरकारले नै गर्ने छ । यसो गर्दा समग्रमा उक्त क्षेत्रकै विकास हुनेछ । हजारौं विद्यार्थी हरु सयौं प्राध्यापक एवं कर्मचारीहरु एवं तिनका आफन्तको चहलपहलले गर्दा स्थानीय पर्यटन ब्यवशायको ठूलो विकास हुनेछ ।

निर्माण सम्पन्न भएपछि विश्वविद्यालय सुचारु राख्नका लागि विद्यार्थी बाट उठाइने शुल्कका आलावा विभिन्न उद्योग धन्दाहरुले आफ्नो अनुसंधान गरे बापत दिने रोयाल्टी अनि विभिन्न क्षेत्रबाट आउने चन्दा ले खर्च चल्ने छ भने । धनि तथ विकसित देशका एवं नेपाली अनुभवि रिटायर्ड प्राध्यापकहरुले निशुल्क सेवा गर्नेछन् । यसको बापत नेपाल सरकारले उनीहरुलाइ सम्मान पत्र दिने छ ।

मलाइ लाग्छ यदि राम्रोसंग प्रस्ताव बनाएर लैजाने हो भने कुनै एक ठूलो विश्विद्यालय वा ब्यापारिक संस्थालाइ मनाउन गाह्रो पर्ने छैन । यदि यो विश्वविद्यालयको स्थापना हुन सक्नेहो भने कर्णाली क्षेत्रमा विकासले ठुलो फड्को मार्ने छ । यदि बाटो र भौतिक संरचना निर्माण गर्न ५ वर्ष लागे पनि सन २०१२ अगाडि नै कर्णाली लगायत सारा नेपालले आफ्नो मुहार फेर्ने छ ।

यदि यहाँको यस कुरामा सहमति विमतिसुझाव अथवा अझ राम्रो योजना छ भने कमेन्टमा या इमेलमा लेख्नु होला ।

मओबादी ले जती सुकै पृथ्वी नारायण शाह को सालीक ढाले पनि, नेपाल अधिराज्यको एकीकरणका लागी उनको नेत्रित्व को कुनै बिकल्प नभएको महसूस भने गरेकै होलान . पृथ्वी नारायण पछि भक्ती थापा, बलभद्र आदिले नेपालको सिमाना चौड़ा पार्ने काम गरे पनि, त्यास पछि भने सिमाना साघुरिएको साघुरिएई भयो.

सिमाना घटे पनि भक्ती थापा , बलभद्र अदिसंग गएका कैयौ सेना उतै बसे. कैयौ झिलिमिली दार्जिलिंग मा रमाए, कोही अझ पर आसाम, मेघालय पुगे, कोही भने दिल्ली हुदै अझ टाढा पुगे होलान, कहीँ लेखा जोखा छैंन. धेरै नेपालीका लागी त्यों अथाह भारत नै बिस्व थियो होला .

पंचायत कालमा नेपाली बहिरी संसार मा तेती धेरी पुग्न सकेनन . तर प्रजातंत्र - १ को आगमन पछि बिदेश जानेको धुइरो नै लाग्यो. अब त नेपाली नपुगेको देश कमै छ होला. कोही ब्रिटिश सेना बनेरा पुगेका छान, कोही संयुक्त रास्त्र संघ को सेना बनेरा पुगेका छान, कोही पढ़न भनेर गयेका छान

कोहि दुई छाक टार्नमात्रै भएर गएका छन।त्यसरी गएका मध्ये पाएसम्म धेरै त विदेशमा नै बस्छन अनि विचारा कति त गएको क्रण तिर्दा तिर्दा परदेशमानै जोवन वितेको पत्तै पाउँदैनन्।

नेपालभित्रको कुरो भने अर्कै छ कहिले यो फोरमले बाटो बन्द गर्छ कहिले उ मोर्चा पसल बन्द गर्छ कहिले या ेवादिले आतंकको त्रास फैलाउँछ कहिले उ पार्टि जुलुस निकाल्छ । धन्न अहिलेसम्म नेपाल चलेकै छ । मलाइ अहिले एउटा भनाइ याद आउँछ ०नेपाली भनेका गूलेलीका मटयाँग्रा जस्ता हुन जति पछाडि तान्नु हुन्छ उती अगाडि हुत्तिन्छन० हुन पनि हो जस्तै लाग्छ त्यहि नेपाली रगत बोकेका विद्दार्थीहरु नेपाल छाड्छन रगत पसिना केहि नभनी सबै बगाएर अरुका सामु मीठो मुस्कान छर्दै अगाडि बढेकै छन चाहे त्यो अमेरीकामा होस या युरोपमा चाहे अस्ट्रेलिया होस या जापानमा ।

नेताहरु नेपाल साँघुरियो भन्छन तर मेरो भित्रि मनले भन्छ नेपाल बढदै छ । धन्न माओवादिहरु जसले गर्दा लाखौं नेपाली विदेसिए धन्न हाम्रा नेताहरु विकास योजना हरु थाँति राखेर शाशनका भागबन्डामा खेल्न फगे धन्न ति कमचारीहरु घुसतन्त्र बढाउन अगाडि बढे धन्न ब्यापारी धन्न राजा धन्न पशुपतिनाथ …॥ । यदि उनिहरुको योगदान नहुँदो हो त यति चाँडै नेपाल यति ठुलो हुने थिएन होला प्रशान्त ले त्यति धेरै नेपाली समर्थन पाउन्न थिएनन होला । प्रशान्त तिमी महान छौ । नेपाल बढेको बढयै थियो तर नेपालभित्रका नेताहरुले कहिले जातको कुरा अघि सारेर मान्छे भिडाए कहिले गरिबीलाई विचमा फालेर भाले भिडाए कहिले पहाड र तराइविच झगडा चलाए । तर कसैले बुझने नेपालीहरु एकता चाहान्छन । तिमी आयौनेपाली नाम लिएरविश्व भरी रहेका नेपाली बोल्न जान्नेले तिमीलाइ नेता मान्दैछन । चाहे दार्चुलका नेपाली हुन या देलावरका चाहे भुटानका नेपाली हुन या बिस्बेनका चाहे दार्जिलिगका हुन या टोक्योका सबैको मनमा तिमी छाएका छौ सबैको मनमा बहार ल्याएका छौ ।

पृथ्वि नारायण शाहले एउटा नेपालको एकिकरण गरेका थिए सयौ वर्ष पहिले । तर आज आएर तिमीले अर्को नेपालको एकिकरण गरेका छौ । तिम्रो नेपालका नेपालीहरु हाड छाला घोट्छन बा आमा साथी भाइ नभनि दशनँग्रा खियाउँछन तर पनि दुइछाक खाएकै छन नेपाली हुनुमा गर्व गरेकै छन। तिमीलाइ मेरो सलाम छ ।

Finally Prashant Tamang won the title of Indian Idol. When I came to know this news from http://www.nepalilive.com/ , I was very happy and shouted. Being a Nepali, I take pleasure to congratulate Prashant Tamang for his success at this moment. I first mentioned Prashant on my blog on June 13, 2007 . It's September 23, exactly 100 days from that day and I continuously followed Prashant from that day. Although, I did not post a lot of entries on my blog, I submitted some for Nepali Live.

After Prashant was chosen as Indian Idol 3, Bharat Ki Saan, lots of people who favored Amit Paul, other contestant threw their anger in a lot of blogs and forums. I personally think, it's their immediate response. I would also have said the same thing, if Amit had won this contest. The haters of Prashant have reasons to hate him. On the other hand the lover have 10 folds more reason to love him.

Friends, if you play football you MUST follow the rule. If you support your team, you got to be in the stadium to shout for your team. I mean, if you guys felt Amit should have been the Idol, you would have sent few more SMSs or made few more calls. Prashant obviously had crazy fans in Darjeeling which is his hometown and a lot of people in Nepal who got frustrated due to the erratic & dirty politics. And about four million other Nepali Speaking fans living around the world except India.

Many of you mentioned Prashant is from Nepal. Just for your reminder, India is 25 times bigger than Nepal in area, about 40 times bigger in population and about 20 years ahead in development (in an average) than Nepal. Darjeeling and Sikkim are places in INDIA where majority of people speak Nepali. It's their mother language. Let them speak their mother language Nepali as other Indian who speak Telugu, Marathi etc. etc, instead of blaming others. Of course if there is a common language that connects Part of India and Nepal, there is higher possibility of getting connected. That's why Prashant got favor from people who understand Nepali, who speak Nepali. Now, like Indians Nepali have been all around the world. They are not only the "Watchmen" or "Waiters" but they are also in a path to be major scientist, leaders, businessman, musicians etc. of this world.

Dear friend, I understand your emotion.But without any prejudice, just feel that Prashant is another Indian or another contestant who has got millions of true fans(more than other contestants) who enojy the sucess of this fellow. I am hopeful that Amit Paul will also be a very good singer of India. Likewise, my wishes are also with Emon, Chang and all others.

Finally, Prashant has won the contest, this is the reality. He is one of the many Indians who fight for India. He is the one who deserved this position. If I can accept this reality and Congratulate him, you can do the same. Let's congratulate Prashant for being an Idol of India and wish him all the best for his success in his musical career ahead.

आज फेरी नेपाली मुलका भारतीय प्रशान्त तामाङ ईण्डियन आ इडोल को टप २ मा पुगेको खबर आएको थियो। म उनको भिडियो कहाँ छ होला भनी हरेक नेपाली वेबसाईट खोज्दै थिए। माइसन्सार मा उनकओ बारेमा एुटा ब्लग पोस्ट रैछ, रमाइलो लाग्यो। तर मेरो खोजी रोकिएको थिएन। मलाई उनी त्यो भारतीय टि.भी कार्यक्रममा चर्चित रहेकोले मनमनै गदगदी भई राखेको थियो। तर बिभिन्न लेखक हरुले उनको चर्चालाई धेरै मन नपरएको अनी जातियता एवम राष्ट्रियता सँग जोडदै संबिधान सभाको चुनाव सम्म जोडेको कुरा भने अल्ली पचेको थिएन। जे होस मेरो खोजी अभियान जारी थियो।

अर्को शब्दमा भन्दा प्रशान्त सँग मेरो एक किसिमको नाता नै गाँसिएको छ यो दुई तीन महिनामा। हुन त, जातले उनको र मेरो सिङ्-पुछर मिल्दैन, देश म नेपाली, उनी भारतिय, उमेर चाँही बरु उस्तै उस्तै होला :) । यसै बिच फेरी मेरो ब्राउजर मा माइसन्सार आयो, त्यहाँ थियो एउटा फोटो, टाउको बिनाका भानुभक्त को। मलाई अचम्म लागेन, किनभने नेपालमा धेरै सालीक भात्काइसकिएको छ, तर नरमाइलो भने पक्कै लाग्यो। नेपाल अनेक भाषा भासी को देश हो तर पनि नेपाली भाषा ले विश्व मानचित्रमा नेपाली जनतालाई एक बनाउन मद्घत गरेको कुरा त "प्रशान्त" ले पनि देखाई दी सकेका छन। त्यसो भए मुर्ती किन फोडिन्छ त ? यदी उप्लब्ध समाचारलाई हेर्नेहो भने अहिले नेपालमा धेरैलाई सानो तिनो गुट खडा गरेर होस् या ठुलो गुट मा बिखन्डन ल्यएर होस्, नेता बन्नु परेको छ। अनी नेता बन्न लाई समाचार पत्रहरुमा नाम पनि त आउन नै पर्‍यो। सजिलो उपाय , मुर्ती दहन।

West Virginia and My Nepal

I am very sorry that I did not update my blog for a long time. Sometimes, when things don't happen as desired, then the enthusiasm goes down. Sometimes, a jealousy comes to inner core of mind, when achievement doesn't come on time. It's life, it's a part of life. May be that feeling led me towards lethergy, maybe my own sluggishness drove me towards nothing. However, I have no options besides accepting the outcomes and expecting not the best but optimum for future endevors. Anyway, these are just my sentiments.

A week ago, I went to West Virginia for a one day long trip. I went along with my friends Manish, Pushker and Pragya. We rented a car and headed towards 64 West. Till Richmond, VA the journey was as usual. However when we drove towards US 33west, the jouney became so exciting. The roads were just like Nepal, the hills were just like Nepal. Only the thing was the well managed farms, clean highway. The scenery was not better than my favourite Tribhuvan Rajpath or Butwal-Syangja-Pokhara Highway but I was loving it. Gosh, when will the time come do get the same pleasure in Nepal. May be after the Constitution Assembly Election ? I may share the photo from Shannendoh National Park and US-33 highway soon but don't trust me at this moment.

Yesterday noon I got chance to listen our(Nepal's) new national anthem. Although I did not find it superb at the first try, I liked it. Now I honor my new national anthem and take a pleasure to post it here.

I returned from North Carolina this evening. I went there on Tuesday and enjoyed a lot. It was an experimental trip too because I took my car this time. and it worked pretty good with a good fuel efficiency. Thanks god nothing wrong did not happen. Moreover,I had flexibility in my trip. During my visit, I went to Duke University and Welimington Beach too.

Yes, you are right. I was my birthday yesterday. I have become lazy these days, I don't know the reason. I have no resolution this year. I went to Richmond yesterday evening with DB dai, KP dai & Anup. I don't know about others but I enjoyed the trip. Moreover, the foods at Damodar Ji's apartment was great. Thanks to everybody.

On this birthday, I got a surprise party too. I cut cakes, got gifts. Wow, it was great day. I am up to date with the news from Nepal but I am not interested to put efforts to criticize 'em.

Obsession : Prashant Tamang !

Although there is another reality show,Nepali Tara 2, going on in Nepal with thousands of enthusiast, Nepalese are more crazy about the guy called Prashant Tamang participating in Indian Idol 3. There is reason for this too because this Nepali Language Speaking guy has proven himself as one of the most talented Indians in the field of singing. Once again Nepalese have shown their maturity supporting this guy based on "Language". If they have followed the path shown by their leader, only part of Nepalese should have supported him. At this moment, I would also like to highlight the strength of Nepali language & the competition of brave Nepalese. If Prashant becomes Indian Idol, then We All, People living in Nepal & Abroad who love Nepal and united by Nepali Language will feel a satisfaction & pride.

The video below show the increasing popularity of Prashant Tamang, 24. This video has been played more than 20000 times in youtube in less than a week. My best wishes are always with Prashant for his future endeavor.

Hitler & KIngs of Nepal !

In last December I went to Washington DC. There is a museum called holocaust museum. This particular museum features the deeds of Adolf Hitler, on of the most infamous ruler of 20th century who killed hundreds of thousands of people.

On the other hand, after the Democracy-II, people (maoists) in Nepal are focusing on diminish the remaining sculptures of Shah kings. I don't really think these two rulers The Shahs of Nepal & Adolf Hitler are comparable in there deeds.

However the people of Nepal are taking the thing in other way. I think we should preserve the sculpture and let our children know about their deeds. Who knows what happens next.

Canada Visit 2007 - La Tour CN

Although we had a ride in Toronto yesterday, we decided to feel the height from CN Tower (La Tour CN in French as they say). Ravi dai had already left for Waterloo and it was Monday so we three, me , Anita and KP dai decided to go to Toronto to reach the top of dream "CN Tower".

We took a local bus to go to Mississauga. From there we took another bus to nearest subway. Finally, we got chance to have a ride of subway in Toronto too.After changin one subway train we got the right subway to reach Union Station, nearest station to CN Tower in Toronto. After that we went to a Bank and then had our lunch their.

Now we were all set for the elevation up to the CN tower. We had a walk of about 10 minutes and reached the place. The ticket were really expensive but it was a lifetime experience.We entered from a security check point and had took an elevator (see the video below)

I took less than a minute to reach the 114th level of the CN tower( I guess). Wow, it was a nice experience. At frist I got little be afraid of height which was obvious too. Then our photo session started. We took lots of photographs and some video clips too. After some time we the thrill was over and we descended to the ground.

It took a long time to find the union station again to get the subway. Because we wanted to go to Eaton Center, a huge mall. Finally we got it and went to Eaton Center too. Eaton center was very large,

4 levels underground and may be 15-20 above ground or so. We walked around the Eaton Center and returned home at about 6:00 pm. But this time we just took 2 subway train and one bus. Mama was waitin us in the bus stop. We three tired people then went to home and took some rest.

Canada Visit 2007 - Centerville Island Tour !

Our Team

We woke up at about 9:00 am and got something for the breakfast. Today, we are committed to go to some place in Toronto city as we did not visit the city yesterday and only two days were left. Mama and Maiju went for the "car hunt" but Ravi Dai dropped us ; Me, KP Dai, Anita, Bishwas and Bibek in Toronto to take ferry for Centerville Island. We took ferry and and went to Centerville Isand in Lake Ontario, one of the great lakes of North America.

It was a warm day and Sunday too so there was crowd in the island too. Although the island was not different than other islands, we enjoyed a lot there in island. We rented two quadra-cycles and had a ride there in Island. We took lots of pictures. There was a "naked beach" too but we did not go there thinking the "Euro-trip" movie, hehe. At 3:00 we returned to Toronto City, Ravi dai was waiting for us. We had a car ride in Downtown Toronto and returned to Brampton. In Brampton, we had coffee in Starbucks and went to home.

Wow, Mama got a new car and there was preparation for barbeque, we joined and enjoyed. We all were tired with the walk and cycle-ride in the island. I played the movie "Lahana" and watched it for a while. Finally at about midnight we slept.

Canada Visit 2007- A Day in Auto Mall !

Mama was in need of a new car as he sold his earlier one recently. So, he decided to hunt for a good deal in the market. Ravi was the person who could decide and Anita could influence the situation. Maiju needs to see the car before paying thousands of dollars. Then who else left, me and KP Dai . Ya, we also joined the family to buy a car. Mama told me the destination is the largest auto mall in whole north America. We did not get much excited but was enthusiastic to see that too. On May 05, I had ride of 3 Toyota Corollas, 1 Honda Civic, 1 Pontiac car in several test drives :) . At the end of day we could not find a right car for Mama and returned from the Auto Mall. Everybody was tired so there was no meaning of going out again. We started a movie and prepared to lie down. I did not take any photographs in the Auto Mall.

Canada Visit 2007 - Niagara Falls to Brampton

Niagara Falls is a nice place to see in the North America. While we arrived there there was a rainbow in the falls. We took lots of pictures and video clips in Niagara Falls. I thin the pictures better describe the scenario than my writings. At about 6:00 pm we left for Brampton, ON. Brampton is a small city in Greater Toronto Area (GTA). The difference we could notice was the 'km/hr' signs instead of 'mph' in speed limits. Ravi told me they call "Highway" for roads similar to "interstates" in the USA. You know the reason, there are no states in Canada, only provinces.

The journey was good and more "Nepali" than my earlier expectations. Ravi has a good collection of Nepali songs in his car. That was surprising because he left Nepal at the age of 16/17 and even after a decade he is still following the newest Nepali music. Finally we reached Brampton, house of my uncle at 7:50 pm. Oh...the GPS that we had in our car was not that bad in Canada, it worked well but we barely needed that one in Canada.

While I entered the home, everybody was excited. Me, Ravi Dai, KP Dai, Mama , Maiju, Anita and others. So cool, so exciting environment. Maiju got changed a lot, Mama & Anita have not changed much even after such a long time. We had a talk and had a great Nepali style dinner in the evening. We had some talk about ourselves and went to bed at about midnight.

Canada Visit - May 2007: Crossing the Border !

I could not sleep well due to the disturb by my room partners and other Nepalis who organized party on Thursday evening in our apartment, I was excited to see Canada for the first time in my life and moreover, I was curious to see my cousins Ravi & Anita and my Uncle after a decade.

It was the first day of our first visit to Canada. I woke up at 4:30 am after a 2 hour sleep and wend to drop KP Dai in the airport. KP dai & I decided to go to Canada but we had two different flights. After I came back I didn't feel like sleeping because my flight was at 9:00 am and I had to leave before 8:00. Manish dai dropped me and Rijesh, another Nepali student who left for Boston, to the Airport. I was right on time , so without wasting time I proceeded to check in and security gate. My plane was on time too. I left Norfolk at 9:00 am and arrived in Detroit after an hour and half or so.

Detroit airport was not new for me because every time I take Northwest, I need to go to Detroit as it's a major hub of Northwest Airlines. I spent two hours in Detroit taking some pictures and videos and walking on the terminal A form one end to the other. KP Dai had already reached Buffalo Airport. The scene of more than 15 airplanes waiting to take off in Detroit Airport was so interesting but I could not take picture because of security warnings.

I reached BUF airport at 2:35 pm in the noon, I met KP dai waiting there for me. As we proceeded towards the baggage claim. I saw my cousin Ravi as a big surprise waiting for us in the airport. It was exciting to see him after a decade. But I did not notice any changes on him even after a decade of stay in the North America except his career development. In his newly bought Hyundai Sonata we headed for Ontario relying on the GPS unfortunately the GPS directed us towards some road for time and again that was not for us, so it made waste of our time too. We were planning to see Niagara Falls on the same day. We got some cce cappuccino at a Tim Horton on US-Canada Border. Tim Horton is like Dunkin Donuts of USA. Then we drove towards the Canadian immigration. It was so easy to get stamped there and we were on the land of Canada by 4:00 pm. After a while, we saw the beautiful Niagara Falls of Ontario.

Today is April 21 in USA and I have become extremely busy with my school stuffs. Man....., I have hardly sleft for 4hours/day for last 4 days. ODU gets call threatening shooting: No wrong till now

After 2 days of Virginia Tech Massacer, Old Dominion University also got threat of shooting on campus. Emails have been circulated to everybody and the university is almost vacant now. Choppers are flying above ODU. Classes for tonight have said to be accommodated. Although, it can not be predicted about the seriousness of this threat, I can not take risk. I left for my apartment early this evening. Now I am in my apartment feeling safe. While walking from the University to my apartement, I was horrified remembering Cho, the killer of Virginia Tech, 's face .Everything seems ok till now. New Channels reporters can be seen in ODU but let's hope nothing wrong happens. Let's pray for peace in the World.

Virginia Tech Shootings !

News agencies are reporting that the shooting incident that happened in VA Tech (Virginia Polytechnic and State University) has death tolls as much as 32. The actual information is yet to come. I live in south east Virginia and Virginia Tech is about 5 hours drive from where I stay. I also got horrified with the news. I tried to contact some of my Indian friends studying there but no body picked my call today. VA Tech is one of the prestigious universities in the USA and a popular destination of "brilliant" Nepali students too.

I am shocked with such news and I can feel the sorrow of families and friends who lost life in this incident. May the soul of fellow students who lost their life rest in peae. I am safe (more than 300 miles far from VA Tech) and working hard for my finals.

Year 2063 !

The year 2063BS is almost over. It was the first year in my life in which I was not at home/Nepal. In this year, Nepal also got a major change in politics. I don't know much about other happenings around the world in this year but I enjoyed the year very much. This is the end of my semester so I am not able to contribute more on my blog. However, I am planning to post at least an article with my thoughts for New Year.

By the way what's your plan for the new year, I am planning to call home and friends to wish Happy New Year. I am also planning to travel to a special place in the first week of May but that is "suspense" till now. I will write a lot about my journey, post a lot of videos and photos if my everything goes as planned. A ray of Hope for Masters : H-1B crisis follow up !

The press release from USCIS today shows the actual data telling that 119193 (approx.) application for this year (2008)'s H-1B application will go for lottery as this number is far more higher than the US Quota of 65K/yr. However, 12981 cases were exempt of the lottery which was filed for Master's or above degree. It means there are still some chances even if you graduate in May ( may be NOT) to apply for this years quota. For me it's a ray of Hope for the next year. However, I tell you the sequence what needs to be done before I can be eligible in reverse order sequence.

To apply for H-1 by April 01, 2008 - Must have job starting from Jan 01, 2008
To have job from Jan 01, 2008 - Must Graduate in Fall 2007
To graduate in Fall 2007 - Must complete my Thesis by September 2007
To complete my Thesis - Must focus on thesis than anything else
To concentrate on thesis - Must complete other course works
To complete all remaining course works - Wait another 2 weeks

But you know what plays every time within this sequence -money- So, it's like the story of Sisyphus. hehe. Anyway, I am hopeful for next year to get everything done on time and find some sponger to give me job and file my case for H-1B Lottery . Also read H-1B Crisis

Good Morning !

It's 3:20 am in the morning. I am grading some papers. It took me almost 8 hours and still I have not finished grading. I don't know why it's taking so much of time. I can not just cry at this time because of everything that I need to do within coming two week. Oh my god !

I was now aware of Nepali New Year. The HRNC (www.hrnc.org) guys are organizing a picnic on this weekend but I can not attend that one. Like our king and prime ministers, I will also post my new year wishes to you from my blog. After more than one and half year, I got this platform (blog) useful to communicate. It's cool isn't it ?

I have kept some Amazon.com ads on my blog and a calling card ad too. If you wanna buy something from Amazon, please go through my link. Monday is the day of Lord Shiva. I used to do something special on Mondays continuously for past 52+ Mondays. At this turn of my life, I decided to write something good on every coming Mondays to wish you (and me as well) very happy. Trashing my Webcam !

On this evening of "EASTER" you might be enjoying your time with family and friends. I wish you a very "Happy Easter".

It's was yesterday evening, I felt that my webcam is no longer worthy for me. I decided to trash my webcam, I trashed that without any regret. You might think that my webcam was not functioning well.It was working well as any of the newest model in the market. Then only reason was I do not need that one for sometime and whenever I need a webcam next time, there will be some new models in the market.

I used to post more personal matters than other things in this blog earlier. After that I started expressing my views about contemporary Nepali politics and other activities. According to time the theme of this blog also got changed.

Many times in the past, I have not achieved my goal. That's was because it was not properly set but lot's many times I got what I deserved and I believe that I can achieve my dreams in the coming days too.

In coming days my blog will continue as it is but I will be waitng for June 27, 2008 (FRIDAY) which is gonna bring tons of happiness in my life. I will be working harder to bring my happiness closer than that date, no matter what it takes. I know confidence is the the thing that drives one towards the goal and success is one that brings happiness to you. I want to see that happy moment.

I used to be a happy guy, a smiling one and a calm one for a long time. Due to my changing health I could not keep my clamness many times but now I vow to be the same guy with a dream to be a "DIAMOND" if not better. I can see a "DIAMOND" within myself, just the matter that makes me diamond is time and my commitment. If I can sacrifice my happiest momements, then I can sacrifice a lot. I will be there soon.

Maoists in Government : Expectations & Doubts !

Maoists have proved that "consistency" pays off someday after joining the government. If you forget the cost of 13000 lives and 12years of time for a while, maoists have done a great job. To recall the earliar days of maoists revolt, the goal of maoists was really good and lucrative. They worked for the equity, they worked for the justice and they worked for the progress. However, they never thought that people may have better visions than them. That made maoist control the local with arms and amunitions. They started clearing up the opponents. Everybody knows this and I am repeating here one more time. Ok, let it be. At this time what can be the expectations of the Nepalese living around the world from the maoists.

1. Peace: Yes, maoists are vital to crack to peace of Nepal for whatsoever reason. We had corrupt politicins, we had unbalanced society but there was "significant" development and "peace" after Janaaandolan-1 (2046), according to Himal Khabar Patrika. Now, we expect moists to revive peace in the country.

2.Development: We want a developed Nepal. We want good roads, we want more roads. We want schools, we want health center etc. etc. With the priority on works, these things should be done.

3. Stability : We want stability. Girija babu became prime minister for 6th time. We want maoist to behave like a mature man for the stability.

वर्गीय समस्या ठूलो कि जातीय ?

नेपालमा यतिखेर जातीय आधारमा राज्यको पुनर्संरचना गरिनुपर्ने कुराले व्यापक चर्चा पाइरहेको छ । राज्यको पुनर्संरचना गर्नुपर्ने कुरामा खासै विवाद नभए पनि जातीय, धार्मिक, भाषिक वा भौगोलिकमध्ये कुन आधारमा राज्यको पुनर्संरचना गर्ने भन्नेबारेमा अलि बढी बहस भइरहेको छ । तर, वर्गीय आधारमा राज्यको पुनर्संरचना गर्नुपर्छ भन्नेबारेमा भने कसैले पनि चर्चा गरेको पाइँदैन । यतिसम्म कि आफूलाई र्सवधारावर्गको अग्रदस्ता ठान्ने नेकपा माओवादीले समेत अहिले जातीय हिसावबाटै राज्यको पुनर्संरचनामै जोड दिइरहेको छ र वर्गीय विषयलाई गौण महत्व दिइरहेको छ । तर, तथ्यहरुलाई केलाउँदा नेपालमा जातीय समस्याभन्दा वर्गीय समस्या नै प्रधान र जटिल देखिन्छ । सैद्धान्तिक आधारमा भन्दा पनि जातीय समस्या वर्गीय समस्याको आधार नभएर आधेयमात्रै हो त्यसैले प्रमुख र आधारभूत समस्याको समाधान नगरी उपरी हिसावबाट जातीय समस्यालाई मात्रै ध्यान दिने हो भने समाजमा द्वन्द्व घट्ने होइन, झनै बढेर जानेछ ।

जातजातिहरुको अवस्था ?
पछिल्लो जनगणनाअनुसार नेपालमा क्षेत्रीहरुको जनसंख्या सबैभन्दा बढी अर्थात् १५ दशमलव ८० प्रतिशत छ भने बाहुनहरु १३ दशमलव ३३ प्रतिशत (तर्राईका ० दशमलव ९५ प्रतिशत ब्राह्मणसहित) छन् । क्षेत्री र बाहुनको जनसंख्यामात्रै नेपालमा २९ दशमलव १३ प्रतिशत छ ।

त्यसैगरी जनजातिहरुमध्ये मगर ७.१४ प्रतिशत, थारु ६.७५ प्रतिशत, तामाङ्ग ५.६४ प्रतिशत, नेवार ५.४८ प्रतिशत, मुश्लिम ४.२७ प्रतिशत, कामी ३.९४ प्रतिशत, यादव ९.९४ प्रतिशत, र्राई २.७९ प्रतिशत, गुरुङ्ग २.३९ प्रतिशत, दमाई १ .७२ प्रतिशत, लिम्बू १.५८ प्रतिशत, ठकुरी १.४७ प्रतिशत, सार्की १.४० प्रतिशत, तेली १.३४ प्रतिशत, चमार, हरिजन र राम १.१९ प्रतिशत र कोइरी १.११ प्रतिशत छन् । अन्य जनजातिहरुको संख्या शून्य दशमलवभन्दा माथि छैन । यसरी हेर्दा यहाँ जुन जनजाति र दलितहरुको समस्याको कुरा भइरहेको छ, त्यो २९ प्रतिशत क्षेत्री-बाहुनबाहेक अन्य ६९ प्रतिशत जनजातिको मात्रै कुरा हो ।

गरीबी र जात-जातिवीचको सम्बन्ध
के नेपालका सबै जनजातिहरु उत्पीडित छन् ? अनि के नेपालका सबै उच्च जाति भनाउदाहरु शोषक वर्गमा पर्दछन् ? वास्तवमा उत्पीडित हुनु भनेको मुख्यतः गरीब र विपन्न हुनु नै हो । शोषणको मूल स्रोत भनेको आर्थिक शोषण नै हो । नेपालका सबै दलित र जनजातिहरु उत्पीडित वर्गमा पर्छन् भन्ने छैन । त्यसैले जातीय आधारमा राज्य पुनर्संरचना गर्ने वित्तिकै तत् तत् जातिले मुक्ति पाइहाल्ने कुनै ठेगान छैन । जुन जातिको राज्य बन्छ, त्यो जातिका धनीमानी र ठूलाठालुहरु नै संघीय सत्तामा जाने हुन् । तर, सोही जातिका गरीब एवं बनीबुतो गर्नेहरु तलै खुम्चिइरहन्छन् ।

हामी दलित भन्छौं, तथ्याङ्कका आधारमा कुरा गर्दा कुल जनसंख्याको ७.४ प्रतिशत स्थान ओगट्ने दलितहरुमध्ये पनि ४५.५ प्रतिशत दलितहरु असाध्यै गरीब छन् । दलित जातिका आधारमा राज्यको पुनर्संरचना हुँदा यी ४५.५ प्रतिशत गरीब दलितहरुको स्थान के हुने ? दलितको समस्या भनेको एनजिओको पछि लागेका, वा क्याम्पस पढाउने टाढाबाठा दलितहरुको मात्रै समस्या होइन । पदमलाल विश्वकर्मा मन्त्री बन्ने समस्या होइन, गाउँको गने कामीको गरीवी हल गर्ने समस्याचा“हि मूख्य हो । जनजातिहरुको हकमा पनि यही कुरा सत्य हो ।

जातिलाई मात्रै आधार मानेर समस्याको समाधान गर्न खोज्दा सबै जातिका धनीमानीले मात्रै अवसर पाउने छन् । तर, गरीबीलाई आधार मानेर अघि बढ्ने हो भने सबै जातिका उत्पीडितहरु समेटिने छन् । जस्तै तथ्याङ्कहरुलाई हामीले हेर्‍यौं भने देशका कुल गरीब जनतामध्ये १५.७ प्रतिशत मानिसहरु त क्षेत्री-बाहुनमात्रै छन् । जबकी पहाडका जनजातिको कुल जनसंख्या १९.५ प्रतिशत छ । नेपालमा नेवारहरु जम्मा साढे ७ प्रतिशत छन् । तर, गरीब बाहुन-क्षेत्रीहरुमात्रै साढे १५ प्रतिशत छन् । हामीकहाँ ७ प्रतिशत धनी नेवारहरुका लागि नेवा स्वायत्त गणतन्त्रको कुरा उठिरहेको छ तर, उनीहरुभन्दा दोब्बर संख्यामा रहेका गरीब क्षेत्री-बाहुनहरुलाई शासक र शोषक जाति भनेर उपेक्षा गरि“दैछ । तथ्याङ्कमा उल्लेख भएअनुसार ७.५ प्रतिशत नेवार जातिमा १४ प्रतिशतमात्रै गरीब छन्, बाँकी ८६ प्रतिशत नेवारहरु सम्पन्न छन् । उनीहरुलाई उत्पीडित जनजाति भन्ने र लाखौं गरीबहरुलाई बाहुन वा क्षेत्री भएकै कारणले शोषकको बिल्ला लगाउनु विभेदकारी, विखण्डनकारी एवं साम्प्रदायिक सोचाइ मात्रै हो ।

जातीय आधारमा राज्यको पुनर्संरचना गर्र्छौं भन्नेहरुले १ प्रतिशत जनसंख्या हुनेहरुको मात्रै पनि अलग्गै संघीय राज्य मागिरहेका छन् । तर, नेपालका ३० दशमलव ८ प्रतिशत -डा.क“डेलको डाटाअनुसार) गरीबहरुलाई पाखा पार्ने काम भइरहेको छ । राष्ट्रिय योजना आयोगको तथ्याङ्कलाई उधृत गर्दै कँडेलले जनाएअनुसार नेपालमा आवश्यकता अनुसार उपभोग गर्न ( राम्ररी भात खान) नपाउनेहरु ३१.२ प्रतिशत छन् भने न्यूनतमस्तरको पनि घर नहुनेहरु ४०.६ प्रतिशत छन् । भनेजस्तो कपडा लगाउन नसक्ने र नाङ्गै बस्न बाध्य हुने नेपालीहरु ३५.६ प्रतिशत छन् । त्यसैगरी एक हेक्टर पनि जग्गा नहुनेहरुको संख्या २२.२ प्रतिशत छ भने एक हेक्टरसम्म जग्गा हुनेहरुको संख्या ४६.५ प्रतिशत छ । हुनसक्दछ, गरीबहरुको यो संख्यामा जनजातिहरुको समानुपातिक उपस्थिति बढी छ । तर, ती सबै जातिका गरीबलाई समेट्ने कार्यक्रम कसैले पनि अघि सारेका छैनन् ।

'बाहुनवादी' राज्यमा बाहुनको हविगत
जनजातिहरुले वर्तमान राज्यसत्तालाई बाहुनवादी राज्यसत्ता र बाहुन जातिलाई शासक जाति -यद्यपि सत्तामा बाहुनभन्दा बढी क्षेत्रीहरु छन्) भनिरहेका छन् । तर, यो कथित बाहुनको राज्यसत्तामा कति बाहुन क्षेत्रीहरु उत्पीडित छन् भन्ने तथ्यालाई हेर्ने हो भने स्वयं जनजातिहरु नै छक्क पर्ने छन् । कुल जनसंख्याको २९ प्रतिशत क्षेत्री-बाहुनमध्ये १५ प्रतिशतभन्दा बढी गरीब छन् । जबकी नेपालमा अर्को कुनै एक्लो जाति छैन, जसले गरीब क्षेत्री बाहुनहरुको संख्यालाई मात्रै भेटोस् । बाहुन र क्षेत्रीहरुमात्रै प्रधानमन्त्री भए पनि अनिकाल लागेर छट्पटाउने बाहुनलाई केही फाइदा भएको छैन । यी लाखौं गरीब क्षेत्री-बाहुनहरुले सरकारमा आफ्नो जातिको मान्छे हुनुको कुनै गौरब गरेका छैनन् । बरु, उनीहरुले आफ्नै जातिका शोषकविरुद्ध लडिरहनुपरेको छ ।

अरु जातिको राज्यमा पनि यस्तै हुन्छ
जसरी 'बाहुनवादी' राज्यभित्र पनि बाहुनहरु उत्पीडित छन्, त्यसैगरी भोलि जुनसुकै जनजातिको संघीय राज्यमा पनि गरीब जनजातिको हविगत उस्तै हुन सम्भव छ । जनजाति मुख्यमन्त्री हुँदैमा सबै जनजातिको मुक्ति हुँदैन । लिम्बू सभामुख, कानून मन्त्री वा मुख्यमन्त्री हुँदैमा ताप्लेजुंगको गरीब लिम्बूको मुक्ति हुँदैन, जसरी बाहुनहरु मन्त्री र प्रधानमन्त्री हुँदा पनि गरीब बाहुनको मुक्ति भएको छैन ।
अनर्थ नलागोस्

जातीय राज्यले वर्गीय समस्या हल हुँदैन भन्दैमा जनजातिको समस्याप्रति वास्ता गर्नु हु“दैन भन्न खोजिएको चाँहि होइन । जनजाति पनि आर्थिक शोषणकै कारणले बनेका हुन् । जनजातिहरु पिछडिनुको कारण आर्थिक शोषण नै हो । पिछडिएका जातिहरुको संख्या थोरै छ वा उनीहरु अल्पमतमा छन् भनेर उनीहरुलाई वेवास्ता गर्न मिल्दैन । तर, जातीय समस्या हल गरेर सामाजिक द्वन्द्व हल हुन्छ भन्ने ठान्नु मूर्खतामात्रै हो । जनजातिको समस्या भनेको आखिर वर्गीय समस्या नै हो । जनजाति भनेर पजेरोमा हिँड्ने वा एनजीओमा लाख रुपैयाँ तलब खानेलाई होइन, पहाडमा भारी बोकेर अनिकाल टारिरहेको गरीब जनजाति र उसको दशालाई सम्झनुपर्दछ ।

After the Gaur Incident !

The news from Gaur was so disappointing that I first thought not to write about that incident. But my mind changed later because being silent in such act is another wrongdoing from my part. So, I am also expressing "My Views" regarding this incident.

Can Politics and Vandalism/Terrorism go Side by Side ?

This was my question when seven parties made alliance with the Maoists. My intuition says, we should never judge the act of terrorism and vandalism as a part of political activity. That made me always write against Maoist Supremo, Mr. Prachand ( I faced many severe criticism too). After our 7-Party alliance shakes hand with Maoists for the sake of everlasting peace in Nepal (??), all the deeds of Maoist cadres were cleaned by cow-milk. We forgot the torture some murder of Muktinath Adhikari, a teacher and thousands like him. We forgot the Mental torture to may local leaders. We also forgot all the dirtiest deeds and attitudes just for the sake of Peace in Nepal. But I was against all these from the very beginning and I vow to punish the murderers as "Just Murderers" with no political biasness. And those who took the base of the government and did cruel murders (like armymen, political leaders/activists, policemen) should also be punished from the Civil Court with no nepotism. But who listens ?

Prachanda Ji did not listen to me because I was not a maoist supporter from the beginning. Many indigeneous leaders did not listen to me because I was not from indegineous community by my surname. Obviously my surname does not sound like a "Madhesi" too ( It more looks like Bangladeshi.....:) ). Nobody thinks, like I am also a Nepali who also has a small brain to think for a developed Nepal, a prosperous Nepal. And, I am confident, if not overconfident, that I represent a huge portion of Nepali Youth whose main dream is to see development in Nepal, whose desire to work 16 hours a day (little bit exaggeration but I can do it) for the development of Nepal in science, technology and economy.

What after Gaur Incident ?
Same, I know Mr. Yadav and his supporter will vow in favor of murderers and Mr. Prachand will do the same. But I don't want to make anybody as "Martyr" in this incident. Murderers are murderers. The government should have courage for an unbiased investigation. If Nepal government does not have enough technical resources, Interpol or Some professional consultant will work for it. Money should not be a matter.

I know whatever I "Bark" here will not happen in Nepal , because it's Nepal. We were taught to make fractions and rule, how smaller the fraction be by our leaders. In a country where you can halt the activities of whole nation with no reason. It takes times to have some positive change but it's not yet too let.

Who's gonna pacify Nepalese ?

You agree or not, the stir, protests, strikes etc. etc. have become symbol of Nepal for quite a long time. Everyday we can read something bad happening in Nepal. Two days ago, the "BRAVE" maoist cadres charged a hotlier in the heart of Kathmandu with punches and whips. The business circle called a strike within two hours to "STOP" the whole country. About one or two months ago Some maoist cadres did experiments with their gun in Siraha and still the protest is going on killing dozens of Madhesis.

In this two scenarios I have blammed "Maoists" with no thinking as I heard from the news coming from Nepal. However, I don't think that maoists are the only reasons. There are a number of players playing with the Himalayan Kingdom ( so far) . And we Nepalis, mainly the youth, are getting played due to lack of basic opportunities. I repeat again, without a significant economic development of the country, political stablilization can not be pursued.

To pacify the agitated Nepalese, who's gonna work ? Indians, Americans, Chinese ....? Of course , no other than a pure Nepali can pacify the agitation. If the political party-leaders and maoists always think that "ARM" can do anything then what about the "BRAIN" why we need brain. Think a simple scenario, we can get protestors for a bottle of beer and some snacks for a day. If we can collect a thousand of unemployed Nepalese (can be bahun/kshetri/madhise/pahade/janajaati/ kirat/ rai/dalit etc. etc.), they can bring another three thousand teenagers. Then a mass of 4000 can do whatever they want. And think, it costs only 100,000 NRS a day or with overhead 150,000 a day.

Few days ago, Saral Nepal mentioned about these facts in Nepal and it's true. If remember my pulchowk days, there used to be the trade of votters for the sake of MoMo and Coke. Regardless of one's competence and dedication one used to get the position of STUDENT leader. Oh Shit. That leads towards the national politics too. Then Saral is right.

It's all about my ganthans, my be tonight I am gonna post a video blog regarding these issues. When I see the activities going on in Nepal, I sometimes feel like "who's gonna pacify us?". When we don't follow the law and orders, there is no meaning to make it. So, even in this last moment, we can use our common sense to avoid non-sense behaviors to pacify ourselves.

This is DEFINITELY THE BEST E-MAIL OF THE YEAR 2006 from women's perspective.

A man was sick and tired of going to work every day while his wife stayed home.

He wanted her to see what he went through so he prayed:

"Dear Lord: I go to work every day and put in 8 hours while my wife merely stays at home. I want her to know what I go through, so please allow her body to switch with mine for a day. Amen.

God, in his infinite wisdom, granted the man's wish.
The next morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a woman.

He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate, awakened the kids, set out their school clothes, fed them breakfast, packed their lunches, drove them to school, came home and picked up the dry cleaning, took it to the cleaners and stopped at the bank to make a deposit, went grocery shopping, then drove home to put a way the groceries, paid the bills and balanced the check book.

He cleaned the cat's litter box and bathed the dog.

Then it was already 1P.M. and he hurried to make the beds, do the laundry, vacuum, dust, and sweep and Mop the kitchen floor.

Ran to the school to pick up the kids and got into an argument with them on the way home.

Set out milk and cookies and got the kids organized to do their homework, then set up the ironing board and watched TV while he did the
ironing. At 4:30 he began peeling potatoes and washing vegetables for salad, breaded the pork chops and snapped fresh beans for supper.

After supper, he cleaned the kitchen, ran the dishwasher, folded laundry, bathed the kids, and put them to bed. At 9 P.M. he was exhausted and, though his daily chores weren't finished, he went to bed where he was expected to make love, which he managed to get through without complaint.

The next morning, he awoke and immediately knelt by the bed and said: -

"Lord, I don't know what I was thinking. I was so wrong to envy my wife's being able to stay home all day.

Please, oh! Oh! Please, let us trade back."

The Lord, in his infinite wisdom, replied: "My son, I feel You have learned your lesson and I will be happy to change things back to the way they were.

नेपाली आन्दोलनकारीहरुले सालीक भात्कएर आन्दोलन गर्न कैले देखि सिके भन्ने एकिन तथ्यांक नभए पनि, अ्एरिका ले ईराक यूद्दमा बिजय पाएपछि सद्दाम को सालीक ढालेको देखेर नै सिकेको हुनुपर्छ भन्ने मेरो अनुमान छ ।

अ्एरिकि टेलिभिजनहरुले फैलाएको सो आन्दोलन को नमुना सबैभन्दा पहिले जनाआन्दोलन - २ का आन्दोलनदारी बीरहरुले प्रयोग गरे, पृथ्वि नारायण् शाह् को सालिक् माथि। वा भाई , काइदा त सहि निस्क्यो । अर्थात्त् घन र मर्तोल बोकेर आन्दोलन गर्न थलियो, जहाँ जहाँ सालीक थियो त्यहिँ त्यहिँ आन्दोलन्। यस्को फाईदा के भने, ठुल्ठुला पत्रीका मा फोटो आउने अनि राजनीति को बायोडाटा बढ्ने । क्या कमाल?त्यती मात्र कहाँ हो र देशी बिदेशका टिभी मा समेत "घन"(जन?) आन्दोलनका भिडियो आउनथाले पछि त यो काइदा पपुलर नै भयो नि ।

Nepalese student in the USA : Cheap Laborers to Sexual Predators !

Nepalese students might have found USA as a right destination for their higher studies about half a century ago. From then the desire to have an US degree has never declined for the Nepalese. In fact USA is still the first choice of Nepalese students, not only because of the flexible & advanced education system in the USA but also because of the amenities and freedom that can be used/misused thousands of miles away from home.

If you have got chance to go through my posting about the life of Nepalese students in Ocean City during summer time, you could have made an idea about the lifestyle of some of the students. Although we think that our student can promote our culture and nationality abroad, in many cases that has not happened in the USA or may be with our students can not manage time to promote their culture and nation in a international arena.

An identity of Nepalese or South Asian student-immigrants(I like this term)in the USA is cheap laborer, i.e. work illegally for other South Asian at low pay. Nepali/South Asian students can't not mange to pay their expensive tuition and living expenses in Dollars. For past 10 years at least 3500 students have entered in the USA and almost 90 % of those must have worked outside the campus as a cheap laborer. Although, it's not legal in the USA, the US people have neglected these incidents as their businesses run not only with us(south Asian) laborers but also with those from Mexico and Central & South America.

There is a fear that a new identity may come into existence, as a Sexual Predators. With the increase in number and the freedom gained without guardianship in the USA, many students pass their time with alcohols (before 21 years of age), and marijuana too. Even now, there are few cases of Sexual Predators students too. With the access to enormous internet bandwidth, many of the student may have passed time to chat and watch porn websites. This behavior may lead them to have a desire of having sex. And finally few are caught. About two months ago, a PhD student was caught by Police in Georgia and recently another one in Florida. Popular TV programs are show casting them with their national identity. Moreover, about one and half months ago a student died (or committed suicide in Atlanta in Georgia) and he was also found to be a person convicted for drug abuses.

Our government, mainly the embassy in the USA should be alert on these issues and should help students and other legal or illegal Nepalese living in the USA to take precautions for not to be spoiled for life.
